Why I love teaching freshmen...

Sometimes I forget the sheer joy it is to teach the bottom rung of the high school totem pole. Sure they may get picked on for being short and having high pitched voices... but freshmen sure are innocent. You gotta love their innocence. Yesterday, one of my students came up to with the look of utmost concern and asked, "Mr. Hung, what is THIS?!" pointing to a tiny tiny zit above his lip. So I sensed his genuine concern and asked him, "Have you gotten something like this before?" and he worriedly replied, "This is the second time". Being quite experienced in the world of acne adventures, I proceeded to give him advice. Just think about it though, can YOU remember your first two pimples? How cool is that?
