From the teacher's desk...

I would give almost anything (well, not really-- but you know what I mean) to go back in time and be a high school student all over again. I definitely could do without all the weird adolescent issues, discovery of acne, and overall awkwardness that is associated with this age range. But I'd really like to know what it's like to sit in the seat of my students. To think about the things that they think about. Most of all, I want to know-- is it really that difficult to understand the concept of area and perimeter?! It's friggin' frustrating to constantly look out into a sea of blank stares when given any type of area/perimeter problem. Oh the joys of this job...
"just add up all the sides..."
